We are devoted to continuing to enhance, update, and service the ERIC® Software that you have received. As part of that ongoing commitment, we have issued a recent update to the ERIC® software. This update focuses on improved reliability of identification of H. aphrophilus and H. paraphrophilus by updating the V-factor and Oxidase accessory tests for these two organisms.
A software patch has been issued to update the RapID NH Accessory Test file.
Instructions
Step 1. Install ERIC® on your computer per the User Manual Instructions.
Step 2. Obtain the file ERICPATCHNH1004.exe from Remel. The file can be obtained by download here (Click here to go to 7-Zip web site to download the tool to open ZIP file, if required) or by contacting:
Step 3. Copy the file, EricPatchNH1004.zip, to your computer. The file may be copied to any location, including your desktop. The file will contain both the self-extracting patch file and a copy of this set of instructions.
Step 4. Once copied to a location, open EricPatchNH1004.zip and locate ERICPATCHNH1004.exe. Double-click on the file to launch the patch. The Patch should be titled ERIC® PATCH NH1004. Read the instructions on the screen and click "Next".
Step 5. You will be asked for the folder to which the file should be extracted. You must extract the files to the location on your computer containing ERIC®.exe. Typically, ERIC® is installed to the default location - C:\Program Files\Remel\ERIC. If you selected the ERIC® default at install, click "Next". If this is NOT the folder you selected when installing ERIC®, please supply the location of the ERIC.EXE file folder and then click "Next".
Step 6. The patch will connect to ERIC® and display a dialog box. Click "Apply" to apply the patch. The patch will display a message "Patch successfully applied" when complete. Exit the patch.
Step 7. Launch ERIC®. Go to the Icon Bar, select "Control Panel" and then select "Updates". The patch applied should be listed in the Upgrade/Patch list.
